2021, International Journal of Pediatric OtorhinolaryngologyCitation Excerpt :Current studies on adolescents with tinnitus have focused more on risk factors, prevalence, and characteristics of tinnitus or the effect of tinnitus on psychomotor symptoms [8–11]. Meanwhile, the auditory brainstem response (ABR) test measures acoustically stimulated signals that represent activation of neural pathways between the cochlear nerve and up to the inferior colliculus of the midbrain [12]. Individuals with normal hearing thresholds in conventional pure tone audiometry (PTA) may show abnormal findings in ABR, such as delayed latency or smaller amplitudes.
