Aging results in the decline of certain brain functional and behavioral capacities in human and animals [33–36] and is associated with anatomical and microstructural alteration in the brain [10,37–39]. NHPs are excellent animal models of human neurodegenerative disorders and aging [40,41] as they experience similar aging processes to human [11].
