The vestibular system is essential for keeping balance, posture, coordination of motor actions and normal eye movements (Highstein, 1991). Impaired vestibular function causes imbalance, nausea, vertigo and abnormal eye movements (Gilman and Newman, 1996) and hinders the acquisition and emission of corrective movements.
